En efecto, l. a. discapacidad intelectual se manifiesta en el comportamiento de los angeles personality, por lo que podría definirse como un estado specific de funcionamiento personal-social, caracterizado por los angeles relación y las limitaciones, tanto de tipo cognitivo como de adaptación, que una personality tiene con los contextos y en las expectativas de su medio ambiente.

- Considerar l. a. salud (estado de bienestar biopsicosocial), como conjunto de condiciones que tienen su influencia, positiva o negativa, en el funcionamiento de l. a. personality con retraso.

En suma, una character con discapacidad intelectual, se puede caracterizar por limitaciones en su capacidad de funcionamiento (funciones y estructuras corporales), en habilidades para ese funcionamiento (limitaciones en l. a. actividad) y en l. a. oportunidad de funcionar (restricciones a los angeles participación) (CIF-OMS, 2001).
