In der Grundschule wird die Messlatte der Erwartungen häufig undifferenziert an alle SchülerInnen gleichermaßen angelegt, ohne Vorbildung einerseits und Defizite andererseits wahrzunehmen und zu beachten. Somit werden die Lernvoraussetzungen der ErstklässlerInnen nicht richtig eingeschätzt und beurteilt, weshalb manche SchülerInnen beim Eintritt in die erste Klasse unterfordert, andere dagegen deutlich überfordert werden.
